This is a space for real talk, not quick fixes. Here, you’ll find human-first support rooted in lived experience, reflection, and courage.
I work with individuals, families, communities, small organisations and solo practitioners ready to move beyond ticking boxes - and toward person-led, inclusive, values-aligned support.
From dementia support and carer mentoring to navigating illness, storytelling, lived experience education, and coaching - I offer practical, grounded services to help you take your next steps.

Speaker | Consultant | Storyteller
Tamara Henwood is a Dementia Doula, carer coach, lived experience consultant, and heart-led disruptor, known for her clear voice, courageous storytelling, and grounded insight into the care ecosystem.
With a professional background spanning defence, aviation, small business, and aged care leadership - and as a family carer, cancer survivor, and neurodivergent woman - Tamara brings both real-world expertise and deeply personal understanding to every space she enters.
She has walked the path from diagnosis room to treatment chair, and from carer role to advocacy seat. Her experience navigating systems from both sides - through breast cancer, dementia care, and neurodivergence - drives her passion for disrupting what doesn’t work and building what does.
After working within (and around) some of society’s most burdened and inequitable systems, she now advocates for human-first, values-led, inclusive change. She disrupts with heart - centering dignity, courage, and curiosity at every step.
Tamara speaks on:
Navigating the messy middle - diagnosis, transitions, identity
Person-led care and inclusive support models
Neurodivergence and caregiving: the unseen impacts
Carer coaching and community building through reflection
Real talk on dementia, dying, and what we often avoid
Audiences leave feeling seen, challenged, and ready to rethink how they approach care, leadership, and life - as humans first.
Services and Support
For Individuals & Families
You might be holding it all right now - the medical appointments, the invisible load, the joy and grief woven tightly together. I see you.
Whether you're just starting out or already deep in it, you don’t have to do it alone. I walk alongside you, holding space for what’s real and supporting you to find your next steps - no matter how tiny or brave they might feel.
For Communities
Life is a team sport.
Whether we call it care, support, or connection - it’s something we’re meant to do together.
Every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued for their story, strengths, and lived experience - no matter their background, diagnosis, or circumstance.
As a heart-led disruptor, I work with communities ready to do things differently. Together, we build inclusive, creative, and resilient spaces rooted in equity and imagination with compassion.
I bring a grounded, real-world perspective shaped by lived experience - dementia, neurodivergence, and navigating broken, outdated systems from the inside and out.
For Small Organisations & Solo Practitioners
Whether you're a solo contractor or small team designing programs, delivering training, or rethinking how you show up for others - I help bridge the gap between good intentions and real impact.
Through reflective storytelling, coaching, and values-led education, we co-create spaces that grow awareness, confidence, and person-led practice.
This work isn’t about ticking boxes - it’s about deepening your why, strengthening your how, and building support that feels both human and sustainable.
Curious? Good. That’s where change begins.
Uncertain? Even better. You’re exactly where you need to be.
Justice of the Peace (JP)
As a Justice of the Peace in South Australia I can assist with the following:
Witnessing Documents: witness the signing of documents like statutory declarations, affidavits, and other legal documents.
Certifying Copies: certify that a copy of an original document is a true copy.
Certifying Identity: verify someone's identity for official purposes.
This is a voluntary role and a service I provide in the greater Adelaide metropolitan area.

Both. I offer virtual coaching, mentoring and consultations for anyone, anywhere - and in-person support within my local region (South Australia) and by arrangement in other locations.
Yes 100%! That’s the perfect time and exactly what the free 'let's chat' call is for - a no-pressure way to explore your thoughts and ideas and whether I might be the right support for you. I have a broad network; there's a good chance I know someone who can help you if I'm not your person.
Absolutely. I speak on a range of topics related to support, community building, inclusion, neurodiversity, ageing, and leadership. I also consult with small organisations and solo practitioners looking to build, more human-centered support systems.
A Dementia Doula provides non-clinical, emotional, practical, and educational support for individuals and families navigating dementia - from diagnosis through to end-of-life. I walk alongside you, offering grounded support without medical jargon.
No. While dementia is a core area of my doula work, I also support people navigating other complex life transitions - including cancer diagnosis and treatment, neurodivergence, and carer burnout.
